Halle Berry names her baby

As we all know, celebrities have been known to pick some of the most outrageous and down right strange baby names I’ve ever heard, but Halle Berry finally gave birth to Nahla Ariela Aubry. I’m not a fan but its definitely more ‘normal’ than a few that I can think of. Her and boyfriend Gabriel Aubry released the name today and we wish them the best of luck.

Eco-Friendly, BPA-Free Baby Bottles

Now that my 7 month old daughter is starting on the bottle after being nursed full time, I am really nervous about what kinds of bottles to purchase for her and my 21 month old son. With all of the news and reports about BPA (bisphenol A) – a suspected hormone-disrupting chemical used in polycarbonate plastic, from which most baby bottles are made, I went searching for an eco-friendly baby bottle made without the use of any harsh chemicals.

And then I found out about a wonderful company called Green To Grow and their wonderful collection of baby bottles and accessories.

Tori Spelling’s New Book and Baby

Tori Spelling is pregnant again and I can’t wait to purchase her new book entitled “Tori’s Telling” at Barnes & Noble in Los Angeles.  She looks so happy and preggers but what I love most is her bob hair cut.  This is definitely the style for 2008 and I hope that all you IBFs are gearing up for the Spring and Summer months. This easy wrap-n-go hairdo is a hair-must.

Product Review: “I Love Me” Reminder

I’ve been gone for a while and I have been getting blasted by my IBFers that miss the dish, dirt, dribble and reviews so when I received (out of the many products that I’m starting to get) a box with “I Love Me” on it I was very curious as to what was inside.

I was immediately taken by the soothing scent of vanilla and instantly lit my candle, closed my bedroom door and turned on my new Erykah Badu CD. Now here is the best part of this little miracle worker… ITS ALSO A BODY BUTTER!!!!

Now I know that may sound a little strange but let me explain. So, you light the candle, let it melt a little and then when I blew it out there is a warm, sensual, liquid oil that I could then spread all over my body..Mmmmmmm. Now, lucky for me, my husband was coming out of the bathroom when I started to zone into my “Not Mommy Today” moods and took that opportunity to give him a little massage, which lead to some extra one-on-one time (if you know what I mean IBFs…LOL).

And to top it off, this wonderful product came with an awesome black T-Shirt that said “I Love Me” on it. A constant reminder ladies to always remember to take time to love and cherish the little things and to never forget to love yourself. The owner of the business whose name is Ria Benedict makes me proud with her innovative ideas and so encourage you to get out and support this BeautyFly entrepreneur.

Raven Symone Looks a Mess

Raven Symone attended the Christian Audigier’s One World Colection show at LA’s Fashion Week. Not sure if the shirt dress/fishnet black panty hose big legs show through them holes look is a good one for Raven, but hot damn it, her facial expression looks exactly like mine right now. And hey, you gotta respect her career game, those Disney checks aren’t gonna stop coming in for a while.

Kimora Lee Simmons: Never BACK Down!

Kimora Lee Simmons puckers up as she comes out to support her leading man, Djimon Hounsou, 43, at the premiere of his new movie, Never Back Down, at Hollywood’s Cinerama Dome on Tuesday.

In the film, Hounsou, plays a mixed martial arts veteran, who mentors Sean Faris’ character.

Never Back Down is currently in theaters nationwide.

I just love how good she looks and how happy she’s been lately.

Kimora Lee Simmons is BACK InSyle!

What more can I say about Kimora Lee Simmons that hasn’t already been said. She’s a mogul and a mother, demanding and compassionate, but most importantly…. another season of Kimora’s hit reality show Life In the Fab Lane season 2 premieres April 20th at 8pm only on the Syle Network….. Oh YEAH!!!!!

Jennifer Lopez Delivers her Twins

Finally!!!!!!!!

J-Lo and Marc Anthony are the proud parents of a healthy baby girl, and baby boy. The babies were born early Friday in Long Island, N.Y. The girl was born at 12:12 a.m. and weighed 5 lbs. 7 oz., and the boy followed at 12:23 a.m., weighing 6 lbs.

It seems like only yesterday when Jennifer Lopez announced her pregnancy to the world at her Miami concert saying… “Marc and I are expecting a baby”.  Thanks to People Magazine for breaking the news. I can’t wait to see her back in fashion fierceness again. Congrats!!!

Jada and Will Smith at Essence Awards

After the sad news of Pinks break up, I had to highlight on another one of my favorite couples.

Jada Pinkett & Will Smith and Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes got together at the First Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday.

Jada was one of three honorees at the luncheon. In the category of film, Jada, 36, was celebrated for being one of Hollywood’s most versatile and gifted actress / director / producer / screenwriters.

Both Will and Jada started to cry (gotta love a celeb marriage that’s working) on stage during Jada’s acceptance speech. Will also had a few words to share about his lovely wife.

Pink thanks fans for split support

Several weeks ago Carey Hart was photographed with a pretty brunette at the Tabú Ultra Lounge in Las Vegas and it was reported that he spent the night chatting and flirting with the unidentified girl. So naturally, when I read Pink’s official blog site asking her fans to support her, I was wondering what happened to the tough girl that we’ve all come to know and love. Here’s what she had to say about the divorce/breakup:

“Hi everybody.

I wanted to reach out personally to all my fans/friends out there in the world. First and foremost, thank-you for all of your support and love, it means a lot to me right now. The most important thing for you all to know, is that Carey and I love each other so so much. This break up is not about cheating, anger, or fighting. I know it sounds like cliche bullshit, but we are best friends, and we will continue to be. All I know at this point, is that I want to make the best album I can, and Carey wants to do the best possible job he can with everything he has going on. He is a good man, so please support him as well. One never knows the future, but mine and Careys’ just might involve beach babies and sunshine one day. Just not right now.

Two of my favorite BeautyFly Moms Heidi Klum and Victoria Beckham both looked hot at last weeks Fashion Week.

Heidi Klum looked chic but casual at the Project Runway fashion show in New York last week. We especially love the bright pop of color with her sunny yellow shoes. After searching for “the look for less“, if I’m not mistaken, they’re from Victoria’s Secret.

Victoria “Posh” Beckham appeared as a guest judge for the Project Runway finale during New York Fashion Week. She looks so chic in this simple draped Orange dress that for once leaves enough to the imagination wile still making her look pretty damn sexy. At first the Buddhist-monk style orange dress threw me off but Mrs. Beckom always impresses me with her keen sense of style and fashion.

Fashion FaceOff: Kelly vs. Rihanna

I don’t know what to say about this battle but I leave it up to you. The 2008 Brit Awards Audi Arrivals in London, was interesting if anything. I was pleasantly surprised by the awesome performance by Rihanna with the Klaxons but I couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow when I caught a glimpse of Kelly Rowland’s outfit. The white shoes, and feather style dress makes me think of Bjork’s swan like dress, designed by Marjan Pejoski, that she wore on the 2001 Oscars red carpet. While some have emailed me asking to find a cheaper version of this outfit, I simply had to ask myself… why? You be the judge and tell me what you think. Who wins this Fashion FaceOff?

Sarah Jessica Parker gets BITTEN!

Now as you all know by now, I’m a mother but first and foremost, I am a woman! And I LUV fashion, shopping and finding the latest bargains. I’m also a HUGE fan of project runway and Sex in the City:The Movie is set for a May 30th release. Wahoo! (thanks to my girl Amina for that one…lol).

So of course, when Sarah Jessica Parker was featured as a guest judge showing off her Steve & Barry’s fashion line, BITTEN, I was really excited that she kept the BeautyFly Mommy in mind and made it affordable, fashionable, and comfortable… Hoooorrrraaaay! Semi-high fashion for less then $20!

Brandy’s Back - See her New Hairdo

She spent nearly a year out of the public eye after a tragic car crash left her in limbo with the law. But now, cleared of criminal charges, singer Brandy opened up to “Extra” in her first interview since the accident, sharing her new outlook and new look. This BeautyFly Mommy looks FABULOUS and with her Asian features, and this cut was very much the hairdo that will be the key to her awesome comeback.

Jennifer Lopez and her Designer Delivery Gown

Now when I’m Not Obsessed has revealled what Jennifer Lopez is planning to wear to the delivery room when she gives birth any day now: a designer hospital gown from Dear Johnnies. I was so intrigued that I had to post. I know that from personal experience, when I had my babies, all I wanted was for it to be over. I tried doing my makeup and got my mani-pedi, and of course I had to fix the hair but when it was all said and done, I looked like hell warmed over… lol

Now after the delivery, I definitely had my own clothes and toiletries but I figured ‘why mess up my clothes pushing them out’ when I can use the hospital gown and call it a day. But then again, who knows: maybe she just thinks she’ll be more comfortable in her own clothes? When I think of it like that, it actually seems a lot more understandable…

According to PageSix, THE private room being held for Jennifer Lopez at North Shore University Hospital is finally occupied. Monday, we reported the room, which is furnished with a leather couch, had “been sitting empty for two weeks” in preparation for the pop diva’s twins. But a recent patient at the hospital told Page Six that during her visit, staffers were aflutter, exclaiming, “J.Lo is here!” A rep for the expectant songstress did not return calls for a comment.

NAACP Fashion Fabulousnes

This year was the 39th Annual NAACP Image Awards on February 14, at the Shrine Auditorium in LA. Let me just say that personally speaking, there were some really awesome designers who really showed off their skills. Holly Robinson, Meagan Good, Tia Mowry, Sanaa Latham, Kirk Franklin pictured with his wife, and Vanessa Williams all look fierce! These photos represent the best of what this award show had to offer. Thanks to my wonderful new BeautyFly Mommy “rosie” for sending me the info to look into this.

Put down the Cake Aretha!

Now I usually can understand when a celebrity gets a little out of shape because of pregnancy, illness, and/or stress. And I can even appreciate all my BeautyFly “Thick Madams” out there that know how to Work It. But Geeeeez Aretha?????

Pictured here in this BIG BLACK girdle with so much lace and fake diamond/sparkly things it made my eyes burn. Ms. Aretha Franklin performed at the Nokia Theatre on February 15, in Los Angeles, California. I would kill to know who designed the dress. One thing I will say is that the wearing black does have ’slimming’ qualities that I can appreciate in this instance. The boobies aren’t falling all over the place but will somebody put this DIVA out of her misery?

Paris Hilton’s onstage Striptease?

Ok, so I simply couldn’t resist posting the latest Hilton news. So here is your daily dose of gossip. As Paris Hilton celebrated her 27^th birthday at PURE Nightclub at Ceasars Palace Hotel, I was stunned at how low-key the outfit was (hated the princess look by the way) and then came the after party. Thanks to TMZ, I was able to see for myself how Paris performed with the Pussycat Dolls burlesque troupe in Las Vegas on Saturday night. Paris also graced the gaping crowd with a performance in a giant champagne glass while wearing a white sparkly bodice and feather boa. And just when you thought that she was done, she proceeds to grace us with a full on black getup from her bag of tricks.

Rumor has it that she was seen making out with newly divorced Travis Barker (again?). Its a good thing that Travis is actually divorced this time cause his estranged wife Shanna Moakler got mighty pissed at Paris the last time she was caught stealing her hubby. Oh, boy! Its like watching a train wreck people… you simply can’t help but watch in shock and amazement. What will she do next?

Sean Thomas Saves the Last Dance

The District’s Sean Patrick Thomas, 37, and Aonika Laurent are expecting their first child. Best known for his role in the 2001 film, Save The Last Dance, he and his wife attended the premiere of A Raisin in the Sun last week in Los Angeles, CA. Aonika’s due date is not known at this time but we wish them the best of luck… she looks like she’s due soon.
